About the Author

Karen Worthington is a wife, a devoted mother of two boys, and a proud Nana. Her life and work are deeply shaped by love, resilience, and purpose. After the tragic loss of her son Clay, who passed away in a sudden flash flood in her driveway, Karen found a calling that became central to her healing and her mission. Clay’s memory is the heart behind her dedication to working with young children, where she strives to nurture, guide, and bring comfort through care and creativity.
Karen lives in Pikeville, Tennessee, and teaches at Little Learners in Dayton, Tennessee. Her daily work with children inspires her storytelling, allowing her to connect with young readers in a warm, meaningful way. Through her writing and illustrations, she hopes to spark imagination, encourage curiosity, and remind children that adventure, love, and learning can be found all around them.
